Marriage Equality in Colorado

As I'm sure most listeners know from previous podcasts, I'm a lesbian and I think marriage equality is very important. Right now in Colorado they are trying to pass a Civil Unions bill, and it has gone further through the legislature than anything before.

Album art section

decided I wanted to make that section a little more alive; I am adding my own commentary to the artwork I have done, and turning on comments

Rolling stone calls it "a searing look into the dark mind of the amateurskeptics resident artist"

Time Magazine says "...he wrote...some stuff there...a lot..."

the National Enquirer wrote "Amateurskeptics artist caught in sex scandal with [insert actress here]"

Rush Limbaugh calls it "a transparent liberal plot..."

the watchtower says "who did what?"

Non-religious marriage ceremony

My wife’s friend is getting married and doesn’t have much to spend on it. Since I am an ordained minister (There is a whole story to that for a later date) my wife wasted no time in volunteering me to perform the ceremony. As I am non-religious, I explained that the ceremony I would do was going to be non-religious. Taking inspiration from Penn Jillette's 10 Commandments for atheists gave me most of what I centered my ideas around. One thing I wanted to make clear in my ceremony was that as far as I am concerned marriage is a commitment between two people and no one else.

Bryan Fought the file and the file won...

Sorry for the delay- the file got deleted
when the editing was done
Bryan fought the file and the file won
Bryan fought the file and the file won

I was in the house when the house burned down...

you may have noticed some technical difficulties...

there are two possible explanations:

A) a major conspiracy of homeopathy users and anti-vaccinators, guided by astrologers to the precise moment at which to strike, and funded by the westboro doomsday cult took down the site with an amateur exorcism and an extended run-on sentence

or B) we messed something up and are using the opportunity to renovate the site

I'm going with B

We are so sorry for the slip up

It has been brought to my attention that in our last podcast we referred to Pat Robertson at times as 'Pat Roberts".  I am so very, very sorry too all the Pat Roberts out there.  We meant no insult and hope you understand it was a mistake on our part that we greatly regret.

Episode 1 edits

I'm typing on my netbook as Bryan edits our second podcast.  I was actually there for the whole conversation, though there are a couple kid interuptions that are hitting the cutting room floor.  I participated more, though I felt my bit jumped around too much and lacked organization.

Doctor's visit today

I went in for a physical today; no masses, nothing the doctor felt she should biopsy. they did bloodwork, and were able to confirm the presence of blood in my system. the phlebotomist seemed so excited about this that he took 3 bottles in fact. my breathing could be better, but the big thing is LOSE WEIGHT. I was given blood pressure meds, but overall the doctor seemed pretty positive. Now I have to go from "Fat Bastard" to "heavyset"(or even "husky") wish me luck, it's about a hundred pounds away, and that weight has to go SOMEWHERE...

Episode 0

I was just listening to the edited version of our first episode.  I didn't talk much.  I actually left for part of it because my kids were having difficulties with bed time.  Overall it is okay.  Bryan is the only one with podcasting experience, so I thinik it will take us a few episodes to hit our stride and really be comfortable with our format and such.  Now, of course I have to do my part with topics of conversation for future episodes.  Right now I'm going to make a quiche.  And listen to the  "Wicked" soundtrack.
